Duties And Responsibilities: The Library Systems group
implements and maintains configurable library software and
systems that support the academic and research mission of
the by providing integrated and coherent access
to research materials and resources. Systems currently
supported include HOLLIS/Aleph (integrated library system),
Cognos/BI-Query (library reporting systems), MetaLib
(federated searching and electronic resource discovery
tool), SFX (link server and electronic journals discovery
tool), EZProxy (authentication system), ERM (electronic
resources management system).
Reporting to the Assistant Library Systems Manager and
working closely with an OIS team of specialists,
responsibilities include:Support for ALEPH acquisitions and
serials functionality; System maintenance and analysis
(configuration, upgrades, testing, troubleshooting,
participate in workgroups); User support (provide
functional support, documentation, participate in
discussion groups); Support for electronic resources
management system; System maintenance and analysis
(configuration, upgrades, testing, troubleshooting,
participate in workgroups); and User support (provide
functional support, documentation, training, participate in
discussion groups).

Basic Qualifications: Masters in Library and Information
or equivalent experience required and at least 3
years experience with systems maintenance and analysis.
Proficiency with UNIX operating system required. Strong
verbal and written communication skills, including the
ability to describe complex functions and processes
coherently, unambiguously, and in a well-organized fashion
required.

Additional Qualifications: Solid understanding of library
technical services functions with emphasis on acquisitions
and serials processing and/or electronic resource
management preferred. Strong organizational skills and
ability to manage multiple competing priorities. …
